A visit to the Harkort-Hengsteysee leisure region is undoubtedly an experience! Here are two Ruhr reservoirs, four surrounding cities and five adventure spots connecting to a popular destination for the whole family. Along the banks you can go hiking, cycling, jogging or just go for a walk. And on the water from Easter to mid-October passenger ships can be used.

With a new adventure map of this beautiful region, the tourism experts of the four participating cities Hagen, Dortmund, Herdecke and Wetter (Ruhr) now bring an old idea to new life. Already in former times there was a leisure map with biking and hiking trails for the area around the Harkortsee and around the Hengsteysee, with which however the attention lay on the individual cities and their respective leisure activities. The new adventure map now clearly focuses on the region. The five adventure spots should inspire everyone together and in total, as a joint project of all cities organized and marketed. The project management has been taken over by the HAGENagentur in cooperation with the cities Wetter (Ruhr) and Herdecke and DORTMUNDtourismus GmbH.

The individual adventure spots of the maps summarize attractions, hiking and biking trails, recreational activities such as mini golf, sailing, rowing, paddle boating, paddling, swimming and climbing and of course gastronomic offers, beautiful playgrounds and great viewpoints and show the diversity of the region. The individual spots can be easily connected with each other. So she offers leisure suggestions for a short walk as well as for a whole day trip. The timetables of the two passenger ships on the two lakes are of course also printed on the adventure map.

The adventure card Harkort-Hengsteysee is free of charge and is now punctually at the beginning of the summer season in the tourist information of the cities Hagen, Herdecke, Wetter (Ruhr) and Dortmund, on the two Ruhr ships and in the adjoining restaurants, attractions and leisure activities of the individual adventure spots. On the websites of the HAGENagentur, the city of Hagen, DORTMUNDtourismus and the cities Wetter (Ruhr) and Herdecke it is deposited as a document to download.
